The diameter of this mushroom usually varies from 5 to 20 cm. Spore powder is bright ochre.
It has white milk that turns yellow in the air.
This mushroom grows in groups in wet old spruce forests on acidulous soil from July to October.
It is common in Latvia. Edible, but has to be boiled first. Do not confuse it with Lactarius repraesentaneus,
which produces violet milk when cut!
Ēdama, jānovāra un ūdens jānolej. Laba skābēšanai (ne sālīšanai!).
