The
size of this mushroom can range from 3 to
15 cm in diameter. It has spines under its cap, not gills. Spore
powder
is white or yellowish.
This mushroom is common in Latvia's
forests. Usually it grows in groups in damp deciduous and coniferous forests from
July to November. Edible and very tasty when fried without boiling.
Cepamas
jaunas sēnes bez iepriekšējas novārīšanas,
ļoti garšīgas. Vecās sēnes ir jānovāra, jo mēdz būt rūgtas. Ja marinē šīs sēnes,
ieteicams noņemt to trauslās adatiņas, savādāk ēdiens neizskatīsies glīti.
