The diameter of this mushroom usually varies from 5 to 12 cm. Spore powder is yellow. It grows from early September to mid December, sometimes few weeks before Christmas. It looks like almost shining in twilight! It is rare in Latvia. It grows in sandy pine forests. It is a good edible mushroom, one can fry it without boiling.
