The
diameter of this mushroom usually varies from 5 to 17 cm. Spore
powder
is olive brown. When bruised, its flesh turns blue. It grows in large groups under pines and spruce
from July to October. It is very common in Latvia. One can fry it without
boiling, it is also good for pickling and soups.
Cepama bez iepriekšējas novārīšanas,
laba marinēšanai, zupās. Kaltē reti.
