Sometimes this mushroom can be up to 16 cm wide. Spore powder is pale yellow. This mushroom grows in damp places under pine and spruce from August to October. It is very common in Latvia. The mushroom has a specific smell, and is inedible in large quantities. When dried, one can use it as a spice, but in small amounts only.
