The diameter of its cap usually does not exceed 5 cm. Main features of this mushroom: small pink cap and light gray or whitish gills. Spore powder is dark red-brown. It grows on moss or on needle-covered bare ground, under pines on acidulous soil from July to October. It symbioses with Suillus bovinus. It is common in Latvia. Edible when boiled, not first rate.
