The
size of this mushroom can range from 4 to 13 cm in diameter. The
main
feature of this mushroom is that its stalk is bright yellow at the base. Spore
powder
is dark red-brown to black. It is
common in Latvia. It grows in groups, sometimes very large ones, on moss under spruce from July to November. After boiling,
it is very tasty when pickled in vinegar. One only
has to take the viscid peel off its cap
before cooking.
