The width of this mushroom can reach up to 30 cm. Spore powder is dark olive-brown. It usually grows under spruce from June to November. It is very common in Latvia. It is the one of the best edible mushrooms in Latvia and often can be found in large quantities. It is very tasty when fried in butter or in soups. One can also dry, pickle and salt this mushroom.
