The
height of this fungus usually varies from 1 to 8 cm. Its flesh is white. Asexually produced
spore powder is white, but ascospore powder is
black. It grows on stumps or fallen branches of deciduous
trees. One can find it all year round, especially in late autumn and
winter. It is very common in
Latvia. Inedible.
