English names: Purplepore Bracket, Violet Conifer-bracket
Deutsche Name: Violetter Lederporling

The width of this bracket fungus usually does not exceed 3 cm. Spore powder is white. It grows on spruce (seldom on pine) deadfalls. The upside is often covered with green algae. It has violet hymen and flesh. It is very common in Latvia. Inedible.

Purplepore Bracket (or Violet Conifer-bracket) usually grows in large and dense swarms on spruce (occasionally pine) deadfalls.

Apgāztais piepes eksemplārs (labā augšējā stūrī) nepārprotami demonstrē, kāpēc vārds "violetā" figurē šīs sēnes nosaukumā.
The upturned specimen (in upper right corner) clearly shows, why the names of this bracket fungus include purple or violet.
