The
diameter of its cap rarely
exceeds 8 cm. Spore
powder is violet-brown. It grows on grassy forest tracks in coniferous and mixed
forests from August to November.
This is one of Latvia's most colorful fungi - because of its blue-green color with yellow dots on
the cap. It is common in Latvia. If one wishes to
consume this mushroom, it should be boiled for 15 minutes and its viscid peel
taken away. However, it would be the best to avoid this mushroom, since
it has been reported to be slightly hallucinogenic.
