Deutschen Namen: Zinnoberschwamm, Zinnoberrote Tramete

The size of this bracket fungus usually varies from 2 to 10 cm across. Spore powder is white. The entire fungus is bright orange-red, especially tubes. It grows on the dead dry trunks and branches of deciduous trees, especially mountain ash and birch, from July to October. It is rather common in Latvia. Inedible.
