The
diameter of this mushroom usually varies from 4 to 15 cm.
Spore powder is white. The mushroom has reddish-brown sharp scales on its cap. The
fruiting body has very unpleasant smell and taste. It grows in nutrient-rich mixed forests
and gardens from July to October. It is common in Latvia. Inedible.
