The size of this mushroom can range from 5 to 20 cm in diameter, and 4 to 12 cm in height. Spore powder is light yellow. When this mushroom is boiled, its color changes to yellow. It grows under spruce and birches from July to November. It is very common in Latvia. Edible and very tasty, but has to be boiled first.

Ļoti garšīga. Ēdama, jānovāra un ūdens jānolej. Vārītai un pēc tam sālītai sēnei cepurīte ir maigi dzeltenā krāsā. Var arī marinēt un ieskābēt.
