The
size of this bracket fungus can reach up to 50 cm in diameter. Its fruiting bodies
last for several years. Its flesh has an acidulous smell when fresh. Spore
powder is white to pale yellow. One can find these bracket
fungi on live and dead trees, mostly birch and spruce, everywhere across Latvia all year round.
Inedible.
