The
size of this mushroom can
range from 8 to 15 cm in diameter. The whole fruiting body turns
yellow when bruised. Spore
powder
is dark chocolate-brown. It grows in humus under deciduous trees, in warm, grassy places,
on forest edges and in meadows as well as in gardens from June to
October. It notably prefers horse pastures. It is very common in Latvia. Edible,
very tasty when fried without boiling.
