The diameter of this mushroom usually varies from 5 to 13 cm. It has light gray pores under mushroom's cap when it is young. The pores turn their color to red-brown later. Spore powder is olive yellow. It grows in groups under larch from July to October. It is rare in Latvia. Edible, tasty when fried without boiling. Prior to that, the peel should be taken away from its cap. Good for pickling, not drying.

Šī sēne aug tikai zem lapeglēm. Cepama bez iepriekšējas novārīšanas, marinējama, nav ieteicams kaltēt. Pirms gatavošanas bekai jānoņem lipīgā virsmiziņa.
