The diameter of this mushroom usually varies from 5 to 16 cm. Spore powder is yellow.
It grows, sometimes in large groups, in mixed forests or in dry places from July to September.
It is quite rare in Latvia. After boiling one can use this mushroom for salting or pickling in vinegar.
