The diameter of its cap usually does not exceed 5 cm. The main feature of this mushroom is its dark reddish-brown stipe. Spore powder is white. It grows in groups in coniferous and mixed forests from August to October. Inedible. It is very rare in Latvia, known to grow just in few places. The author of this website found one such a growth site in 2004.
