Its fruitbody, which is 10 to 30 cm wide, aggregates into expanding jelly-like masses covering some parts of trees. In dry weather it turns into crust-like structure. Spore powder
is white. It grows on deciduous trees, especially rowan, from January to December in wet weather. It is common in Latvia. Inedible.
